December 26, 2007

Sure liquid camera lenses have been in the news more than once, but only as a unique concept. It hasn’t been untill now that we’ve a lot about it developing and being available in the market soon. From what we hear, the investment by a Japanese giant called Osaka in the US small firm Holochip, might just bring us a little closer to experiencing this technology soon enough. What it basically entails is the use of adaptive polymer lens (APL), which swaps glass for liquid to create a smaller, more powerful optic. Pretty neat. This kind of technology would allow manufacturers to make some really powerful lenses even for the tiniest of gadgets. Read more

For people like me who use Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, and MSN, plus Chikka for text messaging all at the same time, I am sure that your chat life can be too disorganized. You want an active chat life but have no way of checking who’s online or who recently got offline.

The iBuddy is ideal should you want to know if contact is online. Unfortunately, this illuminating buddy can be used for MSN Messenger only. Resembling the pixel figure that pops when a user is online, the iBuddy is MSN Messenger in real life. It’s the real deal baby because the figure reacts according to the type of emoticon used.
