The StealthSurfer is a miniature flash drive which allows consumers to surf the Web with anonymity from any computer – even over a wireless (WiFi) connection. Using the device’s integrated Web browser, consumers can surf in an encrypted mode that masks their IP address and secures their data from interception by nefarious sites and Web predators. Vii: Nintendo’s Wii’s Closest Contender

Looks like clones and imitations will always try their best to give the original products and brands a run for their money. Such in the case of the China-made Vii, an obvious clone of the Nintendo Wii.

I am certain that this will not take over the sales of the Wii because right now, Nintendo Wii has a bigger fan base and is almost close to saturating the virtual reality gaming or video game consoles alongside PS3 and Xbox. Read more

Non-verbal communication: Humanoid communicates with gestures

According to the British Inquirer , Researchers at the Japan National Institute of Information and Communications Technology have developped a robot with non-verbal communications skills. Accordingto the paper, the humanoid can communicate using gestures. The 187-pound robot stands about five feet tall and uses a 3D vision system to recognize gestures like pointing and bowing and determine their meaning, and then use the same gestures when appropriate. The researchers envision this technology being used in caregiver robots for the elderly.

I’m this close to choking with all the blinged up hi-tech gadgets but I’m all woman. The fashionable woman’s market is one good target. This time electronics giant Philips and Swarovski of the now famous ‘Swarovski crystals’ partnered to produce fashionable memory storages : the Heart Beat USB flash drive and Lock In USB key.

The Heart Beat USB is a heart pendant made in Silver Shade crystals and stainless steel while the Lock In is well..shaped like a lock baguette. They don’t look like USB at all and can even be mistaken for jewelry.

With only 1 GB of memory, these styled USB drives are hefty-priced at $179.
