Inflatable Space Hotel: Russia’s way of enjoying the world n beyond
June 30, 2007
“Honey, I’d like a honeymoon in space”, might become one of the most unsurprising statements of the century soon! No kidding! You better make all that money if you plan to get married in the next 7 years!
Las Vegas hotel tycoon, Robert Bigelow is all set to open the airlock of the world’s first inflatable space hotel! Goddamn! You might say! Isn’t the world moving at the most unbelievable pace ever? While you and me sit and think of honeymooning with our loves ones at some gorgeous place in Greece or Egypt, or maybe the Caribbean’s, there are people out there to make those dreams look like a toddler’s idea of fun!
Sure Neil Armstrong is the first man who set foot on the moon, but what the hell! he was there on a space mission! You and I might set foot in space for a wonderful weekend getaway or ooh la la, the swipe you off your feet (quite literally) honeymoon.
Russia just launched the Genesis 2 satellite, that will test the strength of inflatable structures planned to be used to build the world’s first space hotel.
So 7 years from now (well, that’s when it’s slated to be ready), when you say “love is in the air”, you might actually mean it. (NiRa)
